Yes, and there are no ads. Free accounts get a set number of radar searches and video reads each day, which keeps it free for everyone.

Where does it work?
Anywhere Google Maps knows the places. We’re starting in Toronto and Mississauga, so that’s where you’ll find the most going on.
Does it track where I am?
No. MachiSpot only checks your location when you tap something that needs it, like the radar or Visited. Your live position is never stored.
What happens to the videos I share?
A video you pick never leaves your phone. Machi reads a few still moments to find the place names, then throws them away. We keep the link and the places.
Do I need TikTok?
No. Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, a screenshot, a saved video, or just typing a name all work.
